Laurance Cellar with its rustic charm and European sophistication, offers visitors a tasting with a difference in magnificent surroundings. The building has been constructed of prefabricated concrete and its unique finish gives the perception of age. Ironbark timbers sourced from the old Wooloomooloo Wharf in Sydney feature throughout the building.
The cellar is adorned with beautiful artworks and sculptures from around Australia. The grounds boast a 1,000 bush rose garden, manicured lawns and three spectacular sculptures. As you approach the entrance you will notice “The Garden of Eden” tree with its one tempting red apple. This piece designed by Dianne and commissioned by Wil Wilson of Willie Wildlife Sculptures, signifies that you are entering a place of tranquility and beauty.
In the middle of the lake suspended on a 14 meter electric blue pole you will see “Free as a Bird”. This magnificent 3 meter lady is gilded in 24ct gold leaf and represents the freedom and opportunities that this great country of ours affords us all. The piece was also designed by Dianne and commissioned by Charlie and Joan Smith.
The building has a large open fireplace, wrap around terrace and four open double glass doors so the gardens and vineyard can still be enjoyed from inside. Kids are well catered for with playground equipment and vast expanses of rolling lawns where they can play cricket, football, fly kites and indulge in other boisterous activities, while Mum and Dad can keep their eye on them whilst sitting back and relaxing with a glass of wine. The casual dining options showcase fresh local produce and are reasonably priced and affordable for all.
As well as being able to sample a complimentary selection of our wines at the bar, customers also have the opportunity to purchase a tasting tray for a nominal charge and then take their tray and tasting notes to enjoy at a table in beautiful surroundings in a relaxed and comfortable manner.
